Sign-up for the competition is already underway.  To sign up for the torunament, all competitors must complete and return a registration form by September 14, 2010.  Registration forms received after September 14 are subject to a $5.00 late fee.  No registration forms will be accepted after September 21, 2010 and registrations will not be accepted at the door.

Fees for registration are as follows:

• 1 EVENT: $35
• 2 EVENTS: $50
• 3 EVENTS: $60

Competitors are expected to arrive at the Bailey Center at 10:30 on the day of the tournament to sign in.  Locker rooms for men and women will be available to any competitor who has signed in.

Equipment and Dress Code

Competitors are expected to adhere to the following dress code:

• Athletes must wear a clean white Karate uniform.
• Only one club patch, five inches in diameter, on the left side of the jacket is allowed.
• Fingernails and toenails must be trimmed short.

The following equipment rules apply to kumite, advanced kumite, and flag sparring:

• Kids Flag Sparring (ages 5-8): Headgear is mandatory.
• Children, Teens & Young Adults (ages 7-25): Headgear (white preferred) is optional (but highly recommended).
• Children, Teens & Young Adults (ages 7-25): Fist pads are mandatory (1 set each red & blue is recommended but other colors are acceptable).
• Male & Female (ages 7-25): mouth guard is mandatory.
• Males (ages 7-25): Groin cup is mandatory.
• Females (all ages): Chest protector is optional (must have your own).
• All Competitors (ages 15-25): Foot pads, shin guards, wrapped bandages (unless for obvious injury) are NOT allowed.
• All Competitors: No eyeglasses will be allowed unless they are high impact sport glasses approved by the Tournament Director or Doctor.
